One day I stood in my front room and looked at a dark mark on my wall that wouldn’t wash off no matter what I tried. Then I thought, I want a cream leather sofa with a high back to hide that mark. It was 2 weeks to Christmas and I wanted it by then. I couldn’t afford to buy one so I stood looking at that empty space and saw the sofa I wanted in that place in my mind. Then one week later my exact visualisation filled that space, as it appeared for free in our communal hallway, covering all the specifics.

The exact colour, material and height. I couldn’t carry it up two flights so I left a note, saying I wanted it but needed help getting it up to my flat. And the thing is, there are six flats in our building, with a free leather sofa sitting there available for anyone of us to claim. So another tenant could have just removed my note and claimed it for themselves. But I knew it was mine, and the very next day there was a knock on my door as two big burly men were stood there with my sofa. And to my amazement it only just fitted through the door, one inch bigger and they wouldn’t have got it in, as it scraped against both walls down the whole length of my hallway… But there it now sat, in good time for Christmas day, just as I’d imagined.

How do I do this? With ease, with joy, with gratitude, without doubts, through excitement and sheer belief in this magic that exists all around us. When we say things just appear out of thin air, it is true, and the air may be thin but so is the top layer of soil we plant a seed in. So the space around us is not empty, it is the substance in which we plant the seed of thought. And once planted it will grow, and like any seed, if you doubt it will flourish it can wither and die. As plants really do grow better when we feel love, talk to them or think good thoughts about them. Just as we change the vibration of water that way, because we are connected to nature. So if we over water, then we drown it, and we often over water by repeatedly raining on our parade by asking where is it then, why hasn’t it shown itself? When will my thoughts and wishes flourish and bloom?

Stop digging up your seeds to check if anythings happening yet, just leave the seed to grow in its own sweet time, just as you allow a baby to grow inside the mother. We don’t constantly ask the mother where is it then, even when a baby is overdue, as the universe often seems to be, we wait… we don’t give up and say it’ll never happen. Because we know that baby will arrive somehow, one day, because once planted it is inevitable. So we must have exactly the same faith in the seed of thought, once planted it is inevitable. So take lessons from nature, plant flowers not weeds, then go have a coffee, take a day off, read a good book, watch a great film, sit and meditate and your garden will take care of itself in your absence. The universe will even send the rain to water your plants so you don’t have to. It’ll take care of the rest, because both nature and the universe know what to do in this natural process. So just let your seeds grow at their own pace, in their own precious time then the end result will be mind blowing.
