Once I was stuck in the super market and the sky was a filthy black with heavy torrential rains, which looked set for the day. And I had a long walk home so myself and my shopping would be drenched by the time I got back. But I couldn’t stay where I was so I looked at the dark skies and just imagined a parting in the clouds. I visualised a speck of light piercing through, and within moments the rain had stopped, the clouds parted, the light broke through and the sun shone and chased the dark clouds away.

Rain men dance, tribes do rituals to make rain or sun shine and this is no different, and it worked! I could go out between raindrops and never get wet yet I have known rain clouds to follow some people. When they say I hope it doesn’t rain because I’ve just washed my hair and it will go frizzy, then it rains. I’m getting married in June so I hope it doesn’t rain, then it does! There’s a drought and I need rain for my crops, then it doesn’t rain.

Whatever we believe in, whatever bothers us we can guarantee the results will not be in our favour. Just like that big spot that appears on your chin for prom night… clear skin for weeks then there it is when you wanted to look your very best, just because you were praying no spots would appear. So imagine rain, imagine sunshine, imagine clear skin and good hair days. Imagine prosperity and peace on earth, then your wishes will be granted.

There is a trick called cloud busting, where we just focus on a lone cloud in the sky and imagine it disappearing into thin air, (excuse the pun.) And it disperses; I have focused on one part of a lone cloud first and it was the very first bit to evaporate, then I focused on the rest of the cloud. It works like magic in front of our very eyes because the world is not real, as Willy Wonka says, it’s just a world of pure imagination. Magic is all around us and we can mould, shape, create and change it to our absolute delight!
