A friend gave me this story-: It was school half term and I organised a trip to the Mechanical Art & Design – M.A.D Museum in Stratford-Upon- Avon. After hours of fun we was ready to head home, we got to the station and on a board was the train time I had booked, saying ‘On time.’ It was scrolling, showing all the stops, then several times stated it was cancelled due to no driver available? But the train did arrive ‘On time’ and everyone got on, and my youngest asked if this was the right train. I stated that one way or another we would get home, and when we reached Birmingham the driver on the intercom announced that he didn’t realise the train was supposed to be cancelled, and said that everyone needed to get off!? Ok… I was a little confused but was still in good spirits and focused on getting home. 10 minutes later another train for a different destination arrived.
But it had our stop on the way, it also had an abundance of passengers because other trains had been cancelled too. But we hopped on all in good spirits and just stayed focused on getting home. So even though our train was supposed to be cancelled, it still showed up and travelled ‘On time.’ We only had to wait patiently for 10 minutes for the next train to arrive at our change over stop, but that train was also ‘On time.’ And even with the disruption it only took 10 minutes on that last train to arrive at our own destination, which meant that both of us still arrived home ‘On time’!
So whatever you are doing or wherever you may be heading, if you find yourself stuck, or experience disruption in your travels, hold your positive intention even if you feel any initial frustration. Pull yourself back, take a big, deep breath, centre your focus, and keep faith that no matter what you may think is happening in the moment, remain in good spirits and trust the process, as it is all working out for your highest good and favour.

This is called segment intending, as at each part of the journey, obstacle, my friend intended the next step until she finally reached her destination that she deliberately intended in her mind. She ignored every little snag on her journey, there was no other outcome in her mind but to get her little girl home. And so the universe opened the way no matter who tried to delay her. And she wasn’t late in the end, just a tad inconvenienced along the way, which she took in her stride, applying the right attitude.
