A LOA story a man told me about and let me use for my blog-: I used to do two or three sessions a week in my local charity shop. Sometimes on the till, but mostly in the back room pricing the books that would come in. It had been pretty nippy for a while and the jacket I had wasn’t quite warm enough for the weather. I’d met a guy on training not long before and admired his jacket: black leather; hip-length; big patch pockets on the chest; zip out fleece lining, and a detachable faux fur collar. But forgot all about it until the cold weather and thought how nice it would be to have one. It might even have been the very next time I came in to open the shop, while waiting for the other volunteers to show up, I went and had a browse through the donations that had recently come in. And there it was! The identical jacket… newer than the one I’d admired, but just nicely worn in, complete with lining and collar. So naturally, I grabbed it and put it aside out of the way. And the deal was that if we wanted to buy a donated item it was put aside for when the – paid – manager came in – she had three shops to cover – then she’d price it, then I’d buy it – or not.

Well, when she arrived, she held it up, looked it up and down: “Twenty quid” I couldn’t believe my ears, I gave her forty quid or I would’ve felt pretty bad and she gratefully accepted it. I’d come into the shop that day with a hundred pounds, and ended up paying a tenth of what I would’ve had to part with for a brand new one, which I simply couldn’t afford. I dunno what it was about the state of my consciousness at the time, but I guess I was doing something right. I can’t say that I do this kind of thing frequently, but when I do it seems I don’t mess about. Thirty years on I still have it, it’s rather battered but I’ve had some great service out of it. Thank you universe! Then a lady said the same thing happened to her…

Her grand daughter wanted a bright pink gilet with a hood then this lady walked into a charity shop and there it was on a rail as if waiting for her. And to her astonishment it was the exact specifications, the right size for her grand daughter, correct colour with a hood and had a label on as new. And it was such a bargain costing just £3-00 so they were over the moon!

An item can travel right across the world to meet you… what you picture in your mind you will hold in your hand. I remember watching Ugly Betty a long time ago and Vanessa Williams wore a multi coloured dress. The combinations of vivid blues and pinks were quite stunning and I wanted a dress with similar colours. One week later there it was in a shop window!

Never under estimate the power you possess to create and attract the very things you want, wish for and dream of. The universe will conspire to bring it to you, because your mind is the magnet that draws everything you think about into your reality. And life is so much fun when we drop our fear and think about the right things… it’s easy when you know how.
