What are you thinking about right now? Does it serve you? Is it bringing the things you love into your life? Are you drifting off to sleep dreaming of the life you wish to live, or are you worrying about that bill you can’t begin to think where the money would come from to pay it? Is you friend on your mind who spoke out of term the other day? Are you still arguing with neighbours in your head, thinking I should have said this and that?

Remember the old joke about the man walking to his neighbours house, wanting to borrow a drill and had the conversation of how things would go in his mind. A farmer wanted to borrow his neighbours tractor and as he walked accross the fields to the neighbouring farm he thought I’m sure he will be happy to lend his tractor to me, though some people are funny about lending things. I hope he’s not going to give me a hard time or I’ll give him a piece of my mind. And by the time he reached the farm and his neighbour opened the door he said, don’t bother, you can keep your rotten tractor, I didn’t want it in the first place! Our thoughts run away with us.

This joke is a perfect example of the negative talk that runs through our minds, that never comes to fruition. But we argue with others on social media every day, we then go to bed arguing with someone else in our head, or just worrying about our children, family, strangers across the globe, or anything else that’s going on in the world. So what thoughts do you take to bed at night? What thoughts do you give space to each day?

Do you deliberately seek out all that is wrong in the world? Do you often harbour frustrations while working, driving, parking? Do you feel good, content, happy, peaceful in this moment? Or feel dread in your tummy, a knot that won’t unravel? Are you wearing a smile or a frown? Do you feel good or bad most days? What thoughts do you take into your sleep? Will they cause dreams, nightmares, night terrors or disturbed sleep problems.

Whatever you are thinking in this moment you are attracting into your tomorrow, so if you continually think, I can’t sleep, I never lose weight, I have palpatations, I’m always broke, my family don’t speak to me, I can’t have children, as the list goes on it all becomes a self fullfilling prophecy.

Those who tell themselves, I alway win something, I always have enough money, there is always another job out there for me, I always find a free parking spot! Then those things happen for them all the time, unless they changed their mind about any of those things. In truth we do not believe it because we see it! We see it because we believe it! We don’t find a good parking spot because we found a few parking spots, we find them because we expected to find one first. Then that pattern repeats simply because our expectation became our reality. So in each moment, while you are driving, as you are washing a few pots in the sink, when you take a relaxing bath, when that big bill drops through your door, and as you lay your head on the pillow at night. You must ask yourself, what am I thinking right now, what thoughts are going through my mind that I do not want to manifest into my reality. What thoughts don’t I wish to see in all my tomorrows?

Which thoughts do you wish to see in your future? Which thoughts make you feel good and which ones make you feel bad? Bad thoughts sap your energy, good thoughts give you power and energy as positive thought will beat all negativity in your life. As what we see in the mind we will one day hold in the hand, so fortunately it is always our choice what gift it will be.
