Deliberate Intent-: The Law of Attraction is not just about asking the universe for something and waiting for it to arrive, we can deliberately intend each section of our day, it’s called segment intending. So if we have a long car journey ahead, we can imagine reaching our destination safely.
When we get up in a morning we can basically plan our day, and intend good things. Like we won’t be late for work, or when we get in the car we ask, intend and visualise a free parking space in the busy car park we are visiting, as I did this every week at a busy hospital for 2 years. And this is my experience last week. I had to go to the supermarket so took my bags and called at the cash machine then a shop nearby for my electric. But when I came out of the shop I realised I had no coin for my SM trolly!
And my thoughts immediately went to I have to change a tenner now or use a small basket that isn’t big enough. And this is how we ruin our day and lead ourselves into the next wrong thing by our knee jerk reaction to circumstance. So as I’m aware of this I caught my thoughts as this is the path I didn’t wish to go down… why make things any harder for myself?

So I changed that thought and used segment intending instead, and as I walked toward the supermarket I visualised a free trolly, but when I got there they were all locked together. Then a homeless women came over and it was odd she never asked for money when they always do, instead she asked if I was ok. So I said I had no change for the trolly, so she went off round the car park then offered me the very basket I had envisioned in my mind as a part of this scene, the part I didn’t want, so there it was, in my reality. But rather than refuse I accepted her efforts and was just going through the doors of the store when she called and gave me a free trolly someone had just left. My segment intending worked! So I did my shop, paid my bill, then went to pack my food and saw no bags! I love my shopping bags, they are so different to normal ones and I had left them somewhere. I got a taxi home so couldn’t drive round looking for my bags.
I arrived home, put my food away, ate something while thinking I’ll never see my bags again, and I was too exhausted to walk back there looking for them. It’ll be a waste of time and energy, they won’t be there, so that’s it, they’re gone! So I had a coffee instead, but while drinking it I changed my mind, 3 hours had passed but they could still be there, they will be there!
My self defeating words, ‘I’ll never see them again,’ will be granted if that was my belief. So instead I decided to visualise walking into the shop, seeing the assistant smiling and handing me my bags. So I returned and that is exactly what happened. So why did things all go wrong that day? Everything happens for a reason, maybe it went wrong so I could tell this story and use it to demonstrate segment intending. I always want a story.

And as I came out of the store right there was the homeless lady, and now I had change, so gave her £5 I was so grateful my day had finally worked out. I usually give a £1 but because she didn’t ask for money, just offered help, then more money came to her than she expected. This works so well in everything we do, every thought, every action, every kind deed… we work in unison with complete strangers because we are all connected and don’t even realise it. And the universe gave me what I wanted as well as what I didn’t want, (the small basket), because either way god provides what is in the mind, whether that’s good or bad segment intending this is how we create the next move, how we plan all our tomorrows. So catch those thoughts and always change them for ones that serve you far better.
