I have enjoyed my week tipping my flat upside down, cleaning things, ready to sell. But now I can’t move in my flat and the gas man was coming today to service my boiler. So I phoned my landlord to cancel, and I asked to book it in 2 weeks, giving me time to sell everything. The lady on the phone was extremely miserable and obnoxious when the letter had been so pleasant. Stateing if the appointment is not convenient just call to re-schedule. So it should be simple right? Wrong… she immediately started threatening me. She said it can’t wait 2 weeks, it has to be done sooner rather than later, that is the law! And if I don’t comply I will soon receive demanding letters, threatening entry, court proceedings, fines, etc, etc!

So I calmly stated they can’t get through the door until I clear away all my things. And there’s no room in the kitchen to get near the boiler, so I need 2 weeks to sort it out. Then she said, we can send a van and take it all to a charity… But I have some expensive stuff I need to sell to pay off some of my rent arrears, and buy a camera, and she’d probably charge me for the removal of my things. So I refused her offer, and she said, well I’m sorry we have to come in as soon as possible. Ok so give me a date! I expected her to say Monday, which was still too soon, but I could put everything outside in the communal hallway for a day. It’s a waste of energy having to do that, then bring it all back inside again, but I’ll accommodate her.

So the universe knew I needed the 2 weeks I’d had in mind. And it was Wednesday 15th, she checked her diary and said, ok, Wednesday the 29th April. I said, great! It should give me plenty of time to sort everything out. Then I thought, hang on, isn’t that date exactly 2 weeks from now? And she meekly said, oh that is 2 weeks away anyway. So you got your wish!

Yes I did, because the universe gave me my wish, and despite all her threats and demands there was nothing she could do about it. So I was very happy when I picked up the phone to call her and re-arrange the appointment, and even happier when I put it down. But she was so very miserable when she picked up the phone, and even more miserable when she put it down, as I got my way and she didn’t. We really don’t need to fight others. We only need to ask the universe, have faith, be happy, and the universe will do all the fighting for us to bring us anything we want, and the kind of world we wish to live in. No one has power over us, all the power is within! So be kind, happy and always enjoy your day, life is good, this world is magical, friendly, and you are the creators of all you survey.
